John Key resigns as Prime Minister
Prime Minister John Key has resigned from his position and will step down next week. Just before midday, the Prime Minister’s office announced he would hold a special news conference at 12.45pm. There, Mr Key announced he had decided to resign, saying it was “the hardest decision I’ve ever made”. “To me, this feels like the right time to go.” Mr Key’s resignation means that the National Party will now need to elect a new leader. John Key has been in Parliament for 10 years and has been Prime Minister for 8. Mr Key beat Helen Clark to win the 2008 election. He then went on to lead the National Party to election wins in 2011 and 2014. Born in Auckland, Mr Key was raised in Christchurch. He attended Aorangi School and Burnside High School before studying commerce at the University of Canterbury. Mr Key and his wife, Bronagh, have two children, Stephanie and Max. They live in Parnell and have a holiday home at Omaha Beach. He likes to play golf and watch rugby.

baby sitter looks after the little girl
There was a man named Jones had me scheduled to babysit Thursday Friday and Saturday evening so they could go out of town for their anniversary recalls the babysitter Chastity Cromwell in her report to the police. On Thursday evening when I put the little girl to bed she said she was afraid to be alone. She told me the clown in the chair scared her. I told her to roll over and ignore it and just go to sleep. When I left the room she was screaming for about 30 minutes and when I checked on her she was hiding under the covers.

Demitrius State of matter
Discussion Doc (Make a copy first, file in reading)
States of matter
Task
Work on this Doc together with a partner or in a 3.
Give three examples of each state of matter?
Solid
Liquid
Gas
A solid is a sample of matter that retains its shape and density when not confined. The adjective solid describes the state, or condition, of matter having this property.
A liquid is a sample of matter that conforms to the shape of a container in which it is held, and which acquires a defined surface in the presence of gravity. The term liquid is also used in reference to the state, or condition, of matter having this property.
A gas is a sample of matter that conforms to the shape of a container in which it is held and acquires a uniform density inside the container, even in the presence of gravity and regardless of the amount of substance in the container. If not confined to a container, gaseous matter, also known as vapor, will disperse into space . The term gas is also used in reference to the state, or condition, of matter having this property.
A solid,as opposed to a liquid or gas, has a size and shape to it. It doesn't flow like water or disappear into the air.
In everyday use, liquid is the opposite of solid water at room temperature is a liquid: Heat it to boiling, it turns to a gas. Chill it below freezing, it turns to ice
Matter can be found in solid, liquid, or gas form. The air you breathe in and the carbon dioxide you breathe out, are both examples of gas.
What’s the difference between the three states of matter?
Solids
Liquids
Gases
For most people, the difference between solid and liquid is easy to discern—liquids move, they flow, they take the shape of whatever they are put in.solid on the other hand, are rigid and don't slosh around
There are the three distinct physical forms that matter can take in most environments: solid, liquid, and gas.
The particles can move around and mix with other particles. Therefore, liquids can change shape to match their container. There is still very little space between particles, so liquid are also difficult to compress. In gases the particles are much further apart than in solid or liquid
Write 3 sentences explaining something new you learned from this reading.
Matter is all around us. Matter is the air you are breathing. Matter is the computer you are reading from now. Matter is the stuff you touch and see. And it is more. Matter is defined as anything that has mass and takes up space. Matter is found in 3 major states; solid, liquid and gas.Gases, liquids and solids are all made up of atoms, molecules, and/or ions, but the behaviors of these particles differ in the three phases. The following figure illustrates the microscopic differences. Microscopic view of a gas. Microscopic view of a liquid. Microscopic view of a solid.
